Importing from Airbnb

When you sign up for Futurestay, you have the option to import your properties directly from Airbnb. This will:

• Link your Airbnb account to Futurestay and designate Futurestay as your software-connected partner.

• Import all your property details from Airbnb into Futurestay.

What Properties Are Supported?

Currently, we do not support importing the following types of properties from Airbnb:

• International properties (outside the U.S.)

• Co-hosted properties

• Shared spaces

• Properties in different currencies

Import Flow Overview

The property import process follows these steps:

1. Select Import from Airbnb: Choose to import properties directly from Airbnb.

2. Grant Permissions: Authorize Futurestay to connect with Airbnb.

3. Review Import Status:

- Qualifying Properties: You'll see all properties that qualify for import.

- Non-Qualifying Properties: We'll show a list of properties that don't qualify.

4. Property Details Import: Once permissions are granted, all property details will be imported into Futurestay.

5. Final Tweaks: Make any final adjustments to your imported property details if needed.

6. Launch Direct Bookings Website: After confirming property details, launch your direct booking website.

Important: Once properties are imported, please manage all property details in Futurestay going forward.

Synchronization Rules

• Futurestay > Airbnb: Any changes made to property details in Futurestay will sync to Airbnb.

• Airbnb > Futurestay: Changes made directly in Airbnb, such as listing titles, will not sync back to Futurestay.

• Reservations and Availability: Reservations and availability will sync both ways.

Re-Establishing iCal Connections

When you connect to Futurestay, Airbnb clears out any existing iCal connections. To maintain accurate availability, you need to re-establish these connections in Futurestay. Learn how to set up iCal Connections here.

Limitations

Some features we currently do not support include:

• Selecting specific properties to import (the process imports all qualifying properties)

• Re-entering the Airbnb import flow after your account is set up

• Using Airbnb without being software-connected to Futurestay (certain availability settings are restricted by Airbnb)

Disconnecting from Airbnb

If you want to disconnect Futurestay from Airbnb, you can do so. We have a separate guide for this process. However, please be aware that disconnecting will affect how availability and reservations are managed. Learn how to Disconnect from Airbnb here.
