Where to Start
If you already have a listing on Airbnb, you can skip manual setup and import your listing directly. Otherwise, read on to create a property from scratch.
To add a property, click Add Property in the top navigation or from the Properties section of the sidebar. This opens the property creation flow, which walks you through the basic details Futurestay needs to create your listing.
What You’ll Need
The creation flow asks for the essentials: property name, address, property type (house, apartment, condo, etc.), and the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and guests you can accommodate. You’ll also set a base nightly rate here, which you can adjust later. If you don’t have everything finalized, you can enter a placeholder and come back to refine it before connecting to any channels.
Your property address is used to generate your direct booking website URL, set tax jurisdiction, and power map-based search on platforms like Google Vacation Rentals. Make sure it’s accurate. You can update it later, but changes can affect channel sync.
After You Save
Once you save the property, Futurestay creates a full property record with placeholder sections for photos, description, policies, pricing, and availability. You don’t need to fill everything out before saving. Think of the initial creation step as planting a flag. The full setup happens in the property detail pages, which you can complete in any order.
Your property won’t be visible to guests until you connect it to a channel (like Airbnb or Google Vacation Rentals) or publish your direct booking website. Until then, it’s a draft that only you can see. This gives you time to build out the listing properly before anything goes live.
