What Is Full Sync?
Full Sync is the advanced Airbnb connection mode in Futurestay. It uses Airbnb’s Property Management (PM Scope) API, which gives Futurestay the ability to read and write your listing settings directly, not just calendar and reservations.
With Full Sync, you manage your Airbnb listing from inside Futurestay. Changes you make to rates, policies, descriptions, and other settings push to Airbnb automatically.
What Syncs
Everything in Basic Sync, plus:
- Cancellation policy: Your Futurestay cancellation policy maps to the closest Airbnb equivalent
- Rates and pricing: Nightly rates, weekend rates, and seasonal pricing push to Airbnb
- Listing content: Description, title, and property details
- Photos: Photo order and captions
- Amenities: Your amenity selections sync to Airbnb’s amenity categories
- House rules: Rules and property expectations
- Check-in/out times: Your configured times push to Airbnb
- Booking rules: Minimum/maximum nights, advance notice, and other booking constraints
Why Use Full Sync?
The main advantage is managing everything from one place. Instead of updating your cancellation policy in Futurestay for direct bookings and separately in Airbnb, you set it once and it syncs. This eliminates the risk of mismatched settings across channels and saves time if you’re managing multiple properties.
Full Sync is especially valuable if you:
- Manage 3+ properties and want one dashboard for everything
- Want your Airbnb listing to stay perfectly aligned with your direct booking site
- Use Futurestay’s rate management tools and want them to push to Airbnb
- Need to make bulk changes across properties
How to Enable Full Sync
Full Sync requires connecting to Airbnb through their Professional Hosting tools. The setup process involves:
- Go to Integrations > Airbnb in your Futurestay dashboard
- Follow the prompts to authorize the Property Management connection
- Airbnb will ask you to confirm the additional permissions
- Once authorized, your sync mode upgrades automatically
After enabling Full Sync, review your Airbnb listing to make sure all settings transferred correctly. Futurestay maps your settings to the closest Airbnb equivalents, but some fields may need minor adjustments.
Things to Know
- Full Sync gives Futurestay write access to your Airbnb listing. Changes made in Futurestay will overwrite settings on Airbnb.
- If you also make changes directly in Airbnb’s dashboard, they may be overwritten the next time Futurestay syncs. Pick one place to manage your listing and stick with it.
- Not all Airbnb features are available through the PM API. Some Airbnb-specific features (like Airbnb Plus badges or Co-Host settings) are still managed in Airbnb’s dashboard.
