Where to Find It
Your property description lives under Property > Description. There are three text fields: the property title, the summary (a short intro guests see at the top of your listing), and the full description. Each serves a different purpose, and all three contribute to how your property ranks in channel search results.
The Three Fields
The title is your listing headline. It shows up in search results alongside your cover photo and price. Keep it under 50 characters and lead with what makes your property worth clicking. Guests search by location and trip type, so titles like “Beachfront Cottage with Private Pool” perform better than “Our Beautiful Home.”
The summary is a short paragraph (typically 2-4 sentences) that appears at the top of your listing page, above the full description. It should hook the guest quickly and cover the one or two things that make your property stand out. Think of it as your elevator pitch.
The full description is where you go into detail: the layout, the vibe, what’s nearby, who the property is right for, and anything guests should know before booking. Write in a friendly, direct tone. Avoid bullet lists in the main description (use the amenities section for features). A well-written description of 300-500 words tends to perform better than a sparse one or an exhaustive one that buries the key points.
What Syncs to Channels
If you’re connected to Airbnb with Full Sync, your title, summary, and description push to your Airbnb listing automatically when you save. Airbnb has its own character limits, and Futurestay will truncate if your content exceeds them. If you’re on Basic Sync, your Airbnb description is managed separately in Airbnb’s dashboard.
For your direct booking website and Google Vacation Rentals, your Futurestay description is what guests see. Changes take effect as soon as you save.
