Finding Your Reservations
All reservations are accessible from Reservations in the main navigation. The list view shows all upcoming and past bookings across all your properties. You can filter by property, date range, channel, and status. Click any reservation to open the detail page.
The Reservation Detail Page
The reservation detail page shows everything about a specific booking: guest name and contact info, check-in and check-out dates, total price breakdown, payment status, the channel the booking came from, and any messages exchanged with the guest. This is your single source of truth for a booking. If you have a property manager or co-host, they can access the same detail page with their account.
The detail page also shows the cancellation policy that applies to this reservation (based on what was in effect at the time of booking) and the payout schedule. For direct bookings, Futurestay processes payment through Stripe. For Airbnb bookings, Airbnb handles payment and Futurestay shows the expected payout amount.
Modifying a Reservation
To modify a reservation (change dates, adjust the number of guests, or update the price), open the detail page and click Modify Reservation. Futurestay will show you the current terms and what will change. For Airbnb bookings, modifications go through Airbnb’s alteration request system and require the guest to accept the change. For direct bookings, you can make changes directly and the guest will receive an updated confirmation.
Keep in mind that modifying dates affects your calendar availability. If you extend a stay, those new dates get blocked. If you shorten a stay, the freed dates open back up for new bookings.
Cancelling a Reservation
To cancel a reservation, open the detail page and click Cancel Reservation. Futurestay will show you the refund amount based on the cancellation policy that applies to this booking. For direct bookings, cancellation is processed immediately and the refund is issued through Stripe based on the policy. For Airbnb bookings, cancellation is processed through Airbnb and Futurestay reflects the updated status once Airbnb confirms it.
Host-initiated cancellations on Airbnb carry penalties and can affect your listing’s search ranking. Cancel through Futurestay only when you have no other option, and check Airbnb’s host cancellation policy before proceeding.
