Managing Your Property Photos in Futurestay

How to upload, reorder, and manage property photos in Futurestay, including requirements and channel sync behavior.

Where to Find It

Photos are managed under Property > Photos. From there you can upload new images, drag to reorder, add captions, and delete photos you no longer want. The first photo in your list is your cover photo. It’s the image guests see first in search results and on your booking site, so lead with your strongest shot.

Photo Requirements

Futurestay accepts JPEG and PNG files. For best results, use photos that are at least 1920x1080 pixels. Images below 1024px on the shortest edge may look blurry on larger screens and may not meet Airbnb’s requirements if you’re on Full Sync. There’s no hard limit on the number of photos, but most high-performing listings have between 20 and 40 images covering every room and key outdoor spaces.

Avoid photos with text overlays, watermarks, or logos. Channels like Airbnb will reject these, and they reduce trust with guests. Natural light and a wide-angle lens do more for booking conversion than stock-style staging.

Reordering and Captions

Drag and drop to reorder photos. Futurestay will save the new order automatically when you release. Captions are optional but useful. They appear on your direct booking website and give guests context. Keep them short and descriptive: “King bedroom with mountain views” is more useful than “Bedroom.”

Channel Sync

If you’re connected to Airbnb with Full Sync, your photo order and uploads sync to your Airbnb listing automatically. Deletions sync as well, so removing a photo in Futurestay will remove it from your Airbnb listing. Captions sync as photo descriptions on Airbnb. If you’re on Basic Sync, photos are managed independently in Airbnb’s dashboard and changes in Futurestay won’t affect it.

For Google Vacation Rentals, photos are pulled from your Futurestay listing directly since GVR guests book through your direct booking site.
