What Is Hopper
Hopper is a mobile-first travel booking app with a large base of younger travelers who book primarily on their phones. It started as a flight price-prediction tool and expanded into hotels and vacation rentals. The audience skews toward deal-conscious, spontaneous travelers who trust Hopper’s “Price Freeze” and cancellation protection features.
Connecting to Hopper through Futurestay adds your listings to that distribution channel without managing a separate account or manually syncing calendars.
How to Connect
Go to Integrations > Channels in your Futurestay account and find Hopper in the channel list. Click Connect to begin.
Futurestay will prompt you to authorize the connection and map your properties to corresponding Hopper listings. If you don’t have existing Hopper listings, new ones will be created using your Futurestay property data.
What Syncs from Futurestay to Hopper
Most settings flow outbound, meaning Futurestay is the source of truth and pushes updates to Hopper:
- Availability and calendar. Blocks created by bookings on any channel, manual blocks, and holds all sync to Hopper to prevent double bookings.
- Rates. Your nightly rates sync to Hopper, including any date-specific pricing rules you’ve set in Futurestay. If you use Pricelabs for dynamic pricing, those rate adjustments flow through as well.
- Listing content. Property name, description, photos, amenities, and bedroom/bathroom counts push to Hopper from Futurestay.
- Minimum stay requirements. Gap rules, seasonal minimums, and day-of-week restrictions sync to Hopper.
What Does Not Sync
A few things are managed separately or have limited sync support:
- Guest reviews. Reviews from Hopper bookings do not pull back into Futurestay. They live in Hopper’s own review system.
- Hopper-specific promotions. Hopper occasionally offers platform-wide deals or discount programs. These are set within Hopper and are not managed through Futurestay.
- Cancellation policy display. Your cancellation policy syncs in terms of rules, but how Hopper displays it to guests follows Hopper’s own format.
After a Booking
When a guest books through Hopper, the reservation appears in your Futurestay inbox alongside bookings from other channels. The calendar blocks immediately. Turno (if connected) will pick up the checkout date and schedule cleaning automatically, the same as any other booking source.
Guest communication for Hopper bookings is handled through Hopper’s messaging system, not Futurestay’s. Check the reservation details in Futurestay for the booking breakdown, then communicate with the guest via Hopper directly.
